Once we've landed on something you'll love...the real fun begins! My specialty is breathing life back into forgotten pieces with custom stains, quality paints and professional finishing.
These end tables were in pretty tough shape and required some structural repair and replacement pieces, but overall it was well built with strong wood. I gave them a calming coastal finish by using classic white chalk paint with light distressing on the base, followed by a beautiful light blue stain on the top that allowed the wood to show its character.
I salvaged this Maple & Co. 19th century table from a flea market in Yemmassee, SC. Once the paint and original varnish was removed I discovered mahogany with a gorgeous natural grain. With a little rehab and prep-work I was able to re-imagine this piece of British history with a white base and walnut stained top.
